The Smith's

We took Carter in today to get his mole removed. Well.....it didn't happen. I have mixed emotions about this. The Dr that we were referred to basically took one look at the mole and said I would not remove that it is a birth mark and it's fine. Long story short he told us to come back when he turned 10. Now we don't know what to think the first doctors said to get it off and this other guy (who is like 70 years old) said that he would have never even worried about it. We called our first doctor who referred us to the other guy and he is going to get more opinions. It's bitter sweet because I really don't want Carter to be in pain so if we don't have to remove it then that's great but if it is something to be worried about I want it off.

I have to give Greg some props. He is so good at his job. A few days ago he saved a guys life. He got a call for a person that was not conscious or breathing in the schools library. When he arrived on scene he could see that this guy was not doing good (he has been on a lot of calls in his day and he said that this guy was by far the worst off) he stayed calm and took control of the scene. Luckily a person there had a pocket mask. Greg threw it on this guy and started breathing for him. He did this until the paramedics arrived. At that time they pushed narccan (not sure how to spell that) through his iv. That is a drug that if the person has a taken a narcotic drug this will reverse the effect and they wake up from the overdose. This guy had overdosed on heroin. I hate drugs so bad but I am glad this guy survived. Greg has seen so many crazy things. Some good but most bad. He is amazing at what he does. I just want him to know that I admire him. It truly takes a special person to do what he does.
